| |
Since
it's inception in 1993, Kumar Krishi Mitra Bioproducts [I]
Pvt. Ltd. has commercialised technologies [developed by Krishi
Tantra Sanstha] to arm the farmers with six products to revolutionalise
environment friendly agriculture.
|
| |
|
| |
|
The
company has set up a full-scale fermentation plant to
produce Liquid Biofertilizers, at Dhayri off Pune -
Sinhagad road. Krishi Mitra is the only and largest
producer of [Liquid] Biofertilizers in India.
Subsequently,
our company has diversified produce Bio fungicides,
Compost Kinetizers, bionematicides and Liquid Bio-fungicides.

Liquid
Biofertilizers: A dream come true!!! |
| |
Traditional
carrier based Biofertilizers were facing lot of problems with
commercialization and mass-production. There were limitations
like the shelf life, application methods, storage conditions
etc. that had to be over comed. Krishi Tantra Sanstha was
successful in making the microbes survive in liquid form.
This was possible when the microbes capable of forming dormant
forms like cysts or spores were used as microbial inoculants.
|
| |
|
| |
|
A
process was standardised to produce liquid bioinoculants.
After rigid quality tests, the product was ready for
commercialization. The details of survival dynamics
of microbes in liquid form, of 80 batches of liquid
biofertilizers, can be found in a paper which was published
in March 25 issue of the Journal - "Current Science.
The process was awarded an Indian Patent for production
of improved biofertilizers. The company is the only
company in India to produce Liquid Biofertilizers.
| |
 |
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
|
The
Liquid Biofertilizers were initially developed for soil
application Soil inoculants traded under the name "
Bioplin " contain cysts of non-symbiotic Azotobacter
species. These microbes are efficient nitrogen fixing
organisms and solubalise insoluble phosphates. They
colonize the rhizosphere efficiently and actively utilize
the "C" in the root exudates. These microbes
bring about improvement in germination and prevent fungi
from infecting the seeds and the plants.
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
|
Second
product developed "Vitormone " contains cysts
of foliar or phyllosphere inhabiting Azotobacter.
These microbes secrete plant growth promoting substances
and vitamins, which bring about improvement in vegetative
and reproductive growth. Foliar fungal infections are
prevented. The concept of spraying Azotobacter
on leaves is novel. This product is first of its kind
in India. The product is gaining lot of popularity amongst
the farmers.

 |
|

|
|
| |
|
|
Third
product developed " Phosfert " contains cysts
of non-symbiotic phosphate solubilizing Azotobacter
species and spores of Bacillus Polymyxa These microbes
solubilize insoluble phosphates [of Calcium and Iron]
The microbes survive on carbon in the root exudates.

Bio
fungicides: A broad spectrum Myco fungicide
Traded as "Combat". The product contains mixed
cultures of Mycofungicidal spores of Trichoderma harzianum,
Trichoderma lignorum, Gliocladium virens. These fungi
provide a broad-spectrum control from various plant
pathogenic fungi. Combat is a viable alternative to
toxic chemical fungicides.
| |
|
|
| |
|
| |
|
Compost
Kinetizer: Recycle waste to reap wealth.
Traded as "Quik Kompost". The product aims
as efficiently recycling of waste [biomass] to useful
nutrients for crops. The product helps in accelerating
and supplementing nature's fertility cycles.
| |
|
|
| |
|
| |
Quik
Kompost contains five species of fungi and three species of
bacteria. High value compost can be prepared using Quik Kompost.
This compost helps in reactivating, and reclaiming the soils
disturbed by obsessive and excessive use of chemicals.
Bionematicide
- "Catch & Kill nematodes"
Traded as Nemastin. The product contains spores of nematophagous
fungi which bring about destruction of plant parasitic nematodes.
Nemastin provides relief from highly toxic chemical nematicides,
to some extent, which are in the process of being banned.

Liquid
biofungicide - "Making way for the plants to breath
fresh air devoid of mildew fungi and systemic chemical
poisons".
Traded
as Kill-Dew DP. The product contains spores of antifungal
bacterium Bacillus subtilis. Kill-Dew DP can
be used to prevent and control powdery and Downey mildew
in all crops.
